For many years, stampers have had to rely on their own in-house expertise when buying and using the equipment in their facilities. While stamping equipment is becoming much more productive, it's also becoming more technical and complex, making it more difficult for in-house staff to maintain and troubleshoot.

Press Automation, Inc.'s application engineers help our customer's fill the void by providing the application expertise that only a stamping specialist is likely to acquire.

The "state of the art" of the industry today is such that we must be more than a sales organization. We need to keep abreast of the latest technology so that we can best support our customers and help them increase their productivity.

History: In 1979, Press Automation, Inc. was formed to fill the void of a metal stamping distributor specialist in Indiana.

Donald & Carol Bowman started the company in a 10' X 12' office at 3120 Lexington Park Drive, Elkhart, IN. The company soon grew to the point that more space was needed, so several offices were added, along with a shared conference room.

Still growing, a few years later Press Automation was again in need of more space. Don & Carol decided to purchase the building, and today, 29 years after the company first began, the building has been expanded to 3,500 sq. ft.

Today: We now have Stamping Specialists located throughout the state of Indiana, Illinois and Western Kentucky to help you on-site and a very qualified staff in our office to help you by phone. We also provide installation and training on everything we sell.

Throughout our history Press Automation's main goal has been to be the best distributor in the midwest.  We have also become known as one of the best distributor's in the country. We are highly respected by our peers in the industy. We feel we are not just a distributor, but a partner in productivity with our customers.
